New PvP items are dropping in PvE

The following rings dropped in Serpentshrine Cavern from several bosses (view the latest posts on WoR forums):

Virus Warning = False

Recently a couple of virus-scanners have been reporting the following programs:
- Backgrounddownloader
- WoW patch executables

The listed programs are reported to have the following malware:
- Trojan-PSW.Win32.WOW
- R/PSW.WOW.RG.3
- Trojan horse PSW.Generic4.TUV

Don't be alarmed, it seems some virus-scanners have been falsely listing these files as malware. To resolve this:
MCafee: Download latest DAT file
AntiVir: Download the latest update
F-Secure: No solution yet
Kaspersky: Download the latest update
G-data internetsecurity: No solution yet
AVG free: No solution yet

Drysc answers about this virus detection issue:

We've been in the process of investigating this issue and we have been able to confirm that this is indeed a false-positive detection by a few anti-viruses in regards to the Blizzard Downloader. The Blizzard Downloader, which is used to download patches, does not contain a trojan, virus, or other malicious code.

We have been working directly with many anti-virus companies to resolve this, some of which have already deployed updated virus definitions that resolve this error. We recommend updating your definitions if you've received this false positive related to the Blizzard Downloader, and that you continue to check for updates as a resolution should be available soon if it is not already.

Can anyone explain to me why Blizz makes PvP items drop in PvE ? There's still so much needed gear for off-specs in PvE

Greetings Teza

First I have to apologize because my english is really crapy. Doesnt matter. Thank you for the good and exactly work you did. Everytime when I want to know something about new patches or new items for PVP on the PTR, I have only to visit the page here.

Thanks a lot, you and this Page are really great.

Greetings from Switzerland

Thats not strange, that has been the fact since MC, even in our beloved Naxx alot of items got disenchanted because they were considered to be pvp items which no one wanted to spend dkp on. And anyway half the raiding comunity walks around with arena weapons and most of them also wear at least a few arena parts too. (espacially for encounters which require a tad more hp) so why not let them get more pvp items in the instances theydo. that being said, I rather dont see that shit drops though. Hope our raid wont have to suffer with those drops to feed our pvpers instead of boosting our pve. ah well

Just got our first lurker kill tonight, and got The Seal of Danzalar, and the druid bracers, so they do take the place of other items

Blizz wants pvpers to raid coz when pvpers get the best items from pvp they will quit. By putting pvp items in pve it will take a person much longer before he/she can get the best pvp items in the game.

Uhm, why wouldn't they simply have fun in the arena and wait for next season or try to get qualified for the championships, instead of quitting? Most PvPers seem to enjoy PvP, they don't do it just for gear.
