Note:
Crap trinkets for my progression level, I know. The one time I saw the DST drop I was outrolled by one of our hunters (guild doesn't use DKP for Gruul's anymore). I've never seen the WSC or Tsunami Talisman and I doubt I will for a while. Shoulders need replacing as well.
As for t4, I like the 2pc and the t5 2pc is absolute crap, so I'm not wasting DKP on tier armor until we get Azgalor down.
We've only killed Morogrim once (SSC nights usually go up to Fathom-Lord) and he didn't drop the talon. Anetheron refuses to drop the blade of infamy while I'm in the raid (already lost it once because my University's network is crap).
like he said, get the MgT trinket, its the 3rd best rogue trinket other then DST and muru trinket that hasnt been seen yet. do heroic MgT everyday trying to get that and the thrown off first boss. also 15 agility is better then 24ap to gloves.
i atm have the 2pc bonus for t5 and i find it pretty nice, seeing how i prefer envenom over evis, i can pull 6k crits with envenom with just reg raid buffs.
also, an amazing site for rogues you can pretty much tell ya the best gear and how to do the most dps when it comes to enchants, gems, metas, ect. is www.shadowpanther.net

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com...000000000000000 imp kick is nice to have in hyjal, if you want to drop 1 of those pts from imp sprint into imp kick so theres 100% then you can. but that and vile poison i think it is, is nice to have for raiding too.

Hello here's a link for my rogue, I love other rogues that use Riposte =) http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Shadow+Council&n=Zhad Your talents are just like mine, i would suggest going for a 20/41 build though with 4/5 vile posions, if you really want to min/max your dps. Endurance really help with Hyjal trash because you'll be tanking 1/3 of the time
First off I think you're dmg is mainly suffereing from your main hand weapon. If your guild is downing anetheron then just wait for that sword or go for the claws (unless your guild is still using dkp) The badge bracers untill you get the ones from Teron. Also try to grab the ring from badges if you can make up for the hit somewhere else. The +12 agil +3% crit dmg meta gem is also a better choice then the +attack speed or run speed gems, but you'll have to keep at least 2 purple gems with the rest yellow. While farming H-mgt for your trinket try and get the throwing weapon as well.
Also i noticed you have a good bit of +AP gems, i would suggest replacing those with straight +hit rating gems untill you hit the cap (363 or 343 with +20 hit food) Surefooted enchant helps with this. With your hit rating capped you'll see a big boost in offhand energy procs as well as more sustained dps. Ignore armor pen untill you get further into BT.

do not use riposte... you should never be tanking anything... ever. don't listen to the guy who was bragging about his envenom crits. use rupture. I would change your meta gem as mentioned before. and the heroic mgt advice is also very sound. bloodlust brooch > hourglass when you get shard of contempt.
you are right about addressing your needed upgrades. MH and throwing are your most dire needs atm. about hit rating: you don't stack hit rating at the expense of your other stats. so if you have a better piece of gear that has no hit rating on it (i.e t6 pants) then you get it. I raid with 260 hit rating atm (I like more honestly, but the best gear that I have puts me at 260). you have to value hit rating along side other stats, weight them all and figure out what is best. I recommend going to elitistjerks.com checking out the rogue dps spreadsheet on their forums.
1. Envenom is bad. The worst finisher we have for PvE aside from Expose Armor. Slice and Dice and Rupture are the only finishers you should use except for the odd Eviscerate when AR is up.
2. You're completely full of shit. You can't get a 6k crit envenom on a normal mob with normal buffs. It does 900 damage + 15% of your AP base damage, plus 200 for a 5 pointer with 4 piece T5 bonus, plus 20% overall with talents. That means you'd have to be getting a 2400 damage non crits before talents and set bonuses ({6000 / 1.2 - 200} / 2), which means you'd need a minimum of 10,000 attack power (about 7500 with Stormstrike up). With max amps, buffs and procs, the highest you could ever hope to reach would be around 5,000. 6,000 if you were a moron and specced full subtlety for the AP bonus.
Although it's not a sword, the badge fist weapon is a huge upgrade compared to the S1 glad sword. You might wanna considering picking it up if you've got no qualms about going fist/sword hybrid. Annoying to farm 105 badges for but hey, when you're raiding you can get them relatively quickly.
echo what was said above, other than the nonsense about riposte and envenom...6k envenom crit? May I have a screenie please?
If you want to brag about your single crits, go play a mage or a shammy and leave the rogue forums for people who are sober.
Rogue pve dps is about sustained white damage. Any rogue obsessed with crits spends too much time in AV.
And yes, I am flaming you, because people who make outrageous claims and post no screenie deserve to be treated thus.
Back to the OP...I know you want new trinkets, but upgrading your weapons should be your first priority. The new badge fist is very nice and great bang for your buck. Noticing how much badge gear you already have, you obviously know what it takes to get badges.
1. Get a pure PVE build (http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0ebovZMIVobVzxMGot). Improved Sprint does more than Improved Kick, because most mobs are immune to silences anyway, and because you do 0 DPS if you're rooted or if you are out of ranged due to being slowed. You can also use improved sprint to get rid off attack speed debuffs if they also apply some sort of snare (think of Kaz'rogals thunder clap).
2. Fix your enchants. +15 agi is superior to +26 AP as an enchant for your gloves. The enchant on your boots is ok, but on many fights Cat's Speed (+6 agi and +8% movement speed) is superior. Surefooted is a bad enchant, in terms of power it's equal to 12 agi but 12 agi is affected by BoK and vitality, making it slightly better. Cat's Speed defeats both though unless if it's an encounter where you spend almost the entire encounter on 1 spot.
3. Fix your gems. As a rogue, your most favored socket should be a yellow socket and your least favored socket is a blue socket, a red socket lies in between. In case of a yellow socket, no questions asked, you should ALWAYS gem a pure +hit gem (only exception being if it puts you above the hit cap). In case of a red socket, look at the socket bonus, if it's a bonus increasing (agi, hit, AP etc) your DPS it's most likely better than a pure hit gem considering you put a hit/agi hybrid gem in it. A perfect example of when to ignore even red color gems is your chest... the socket bonus on that item is +3 stamina which is close to worthless so in that case you should still go for a pure hit gem. Your meta gem should always be the relentless earthstorm diamond (12 agi and +3% crit damage), it's your most important gem and therefore you can pretty much discard any helm without a meta socket right away. The meta requires 2 blue gems, 2 red gems and 2 yellow gems in order to work. When you are gemming in a blue slot it should always be an agi/stamina hybrid gem which is both a red and a blue gem so you kill 2/3rd of the meta requirement right off the bat. When trying to get your 2 blue gems somewhere, try to pick an item that requires a yellow socket and a blue socket in order to reach the bonus, it's slightly better than putting your blue gem in an item that requires a blue socket and a red socket. Easy example would be a rogue in t6 gear with belt of one-hundred deaths, 1 of your blue gems goes in your chest which leaves you with the option to put the second one in either your shoulders or the belt, the socket bonus on both is pretty much equal, but the shoulders have the combination of blue+yellow where the belt is blue+red, so you should put the blue gem in your shoulders and just ignore the socket colors on the belt and go pure hit for the best result.
4. Keep running Gruul for DST. You will not replace it until WotLK. If your guild doesn't run it or you aren't guaranteed to get it with your guild, get some friends together and organize pick up groups to Gruul. Remember to keep master looter on so you can give yourself the DST if it drops. Don't forget to tell people beforehand though so they won't have to find out the DST is reserved the hard way and stir up drama regarding you.
5. Get the trinket from the 3rd boss on heroic MrT, along with DST it's the best combo you can get until M'uru as previously stated.
6. Level up your leatherworking, drums are a very nice addition to raids. You can also drop skinning and get engineering or enchanting instead if you don't mind putting in the effort for it. Engineering gives you a solid helm which is close to T5 in power and is upgradable to be better than the T6 helm. If you go gnomish you can also get a battle chicken which buffs your party with +5% attack speed for 5 minutes, which helps more than some people think.
7. Not much to do with your gear, but with your gear you should be doing the following finisher rotation: 1 combo point Slice and Dice, then build up 5 combo points and use Rupture, then get 1 combo point and SnD again, and keep repeating that sequence until the boss dies. Once you lose your 2 piece T4 bonus you should use 3 or 4 combo points on slice and dice instead of 1.
Hopefully with these tips you learned a little bit which can help you making choices on your own in the future. I'll help you this time though by pointing out how to 'fix' your current gear:
- Put 12 agi/3% crit damage meta in your helm
- Replace the 20 AP gem in your helm with a 4 agi/4 hit or 5 agi/5 hit gem
- Replace the gem in your chest with a +8 hit or a +10 hit gem.
- Replace the gem in your wrist with a +8 or +10 hit gem.
- Replace the 26 AP enchant on your gloves with a 15 agi enchant.
- Replace the gem in your belt with a +8 hit or +10 hit gem.
- Replace the enchant on your boots with Cat Swiftness (optional).
Another tip, you can get 5 agi/6 stamina epic gems from heroic steamvault to put in your blue sockets, they are slightly worse than the shadowsong amethyst version by 1 stamina, but for DPS they are identical. Also, use +20 hit rating food (created with talbuk venison) unless if it puts you over the hit cap (363 hit rating), in which case you should use the +20 agi food. And ignore people who say you should aim for the hit cap, the difference between hitcapped and close to hitcap is minimalistic and nowhere as great as it is for casters. Any hit you pick up along the way is welcome but you should never wear inferior items just because they give you hit putting you closer to the 363 hit rating you need in order to never miss.
i atm have the 2pc bonus for t5 and i find it pretty nice, seeing how i prefer envenom over evis, i can pull 6k crits with envenom with just reg raid buffs.
Two things.
In short, you're a goddamn liar.
ill get ya a screenshot k?
Feel free, but I won't hold my breath. It's mathematically impossible unless the mob is taking extra damage or you get some situational bufff like in Mech or Magister's Terrace.
Even if he can come up with a screenshot, there is no way you can consistently pull off those numbers, as it requires a lot of factors like stormstrike, t5 bonus, misery etc.
You're better off using rupture and leaving the stormstrikes for the enhancement shaman himself.
