New PTR Build - Changes List


A new build has been deployed on PTRs and TTR, and what a build it's a 84 mb patch. Blizzard added all the zone music for the Sunwell (73 MB, or 84% of the filesize). You can download it here (Filefront|Rapidshare)

Update: Added Book of Highborne Hymns to Eredar Twins loot table.

2 Alchemist Stones have had their stats changed

- Assassin's Alchemist Stone has had its stats changed: 108 Attack power instead of 54 critical strike rating.
- Sorcerer's Alchemist Stone has had its stats changed: Spell hit rating removed, it's now 63 spell dmg/healing bonus instead.

Class Changes

- Mass Dispel now affects 10 friendly targets and 10 enemy targets.
new description: Dispels magic in a 15 yard radius, removing 1 harmful spell from each friendly target and 1 beneficial spell from each enemy target. Affects a maximum of 10 friendly targets and 10 enemy targets. This dispel is potent enough to remove Magic effects that are normally undispellable.

- Flametongue Totem and Weapon: The healing reduction debuff has been removed from spell description.

Flametongue Totem:
old: Summons a Flametongue Totem that enchants all party members' main-hand weapons with fire if they are within 20 yards. Each hit causes 15.8052 to 48.68 additional Fire damage and reduces all healing done to the target by 25% for 5 sec. The healing reduction effect stacks up to 2 times. Lasts 2 min.
new: Summons a Flametongue Totem that enchants all party members' main-hand weapons with fire if they are within 20 yards. Each hit causes 15.81 to 48.68 additional Fire damage. Lasts 2 minutes.

Flametongue Weapon:
old: Imbue the Shaman's weapon with fire. Each hit causes 32.4416 to 99.92 additional Fire damage, based on the speed of the weapon and reduces all healing done to the target by 25% for 5 sec. The healing reduction effect stacks up to 2 times. Lasts 30 minutes.
new: Imbue the Shaman's weapon with fire. Each hit causes 32.44 to 99.92 additional Fire damage, based on the speed of the weapon. Slower weapons cause more fire damage per swing. Lasts 30 minutes.

- Lifetap changes have been reverted back to 2.3 original values.
Rank 1 to 7 - Converts 20/65/130/210/300/420/580 health into 20/65/130/210/300/420/580 mana


New addition to Jewelcrafting: Brilliant Glass

This patch added a new recipe to Jewelcrafting: Brilliant Glass

* Brilliant Glass can be trained from the JC trainer, it's green at 375. It currently gives a rare gem every time.

- Loop of Forged Power: Hardened Khorium (4), Primal Might (4), Mercurial Adamantite (12), Sunmote (5)
- Ring of Flowing Life: Hardened Khorium (4), Primal Life (20), Mercurial Adamantite (12), Sunmote (5)
- Hard Khorium Band: Hardened Khorium (4), Primal Air (20), Mercurial Adamantite (12), Sunmote (5)
- Pendant of Sunfire: Mercurial Adamantite (12), Crimson Spinel (3), Empyrean Sapphire (3)
- Amulet of Flowing Life: Mercurial Adamantite (6), Seaspray Emerald (6)
- Hard Khorium Choker: Hardened Khorium (6), Primal Nether (9)


Spell Changes

- Focused: Range reduced from 80 to 50 yards.
- Fiery Intellect (tooltip change): "Damage from Fire spells and effects increased by 15" added.
- Parasitic Shadowfiend (buff desc change): Deals 3000 Shadow damage every 2 sec. (Shadow added)


Misc Changes

- 8 new abilities have been added, you can view them here.
- 1 new icon: Ability_Mount_CockatriceMountElite_White

Haha so the Warlocks no longer have a Lifetap nerf?

Guess that proves if you QQ enough about something you shall have your way. God forbid warlocks feel the sting of being balanced.

And regards shaman, the debuff was removed from the description meaning it still does it just doesn't say it? Or removed completely.

Knew the shaman MS wouldnt last. We need it desperatly, but too many people whine about it. On the totem its OP but for just the shaman isnt not bad at all. People whined about wound poison and aimed shot in the beginning but now they're accepted.

I doubt it'd be removed from the spell description and not removed from the spell. Havnt been in to test though.

This is one of the new abilities you linked.

That would mean decreasing 2.3 healing value (50% of STR) and PTR healing value (100% of AGI) to 20% of agility...

+100 to healing in pvp instead of +500, woot!

i think this is only rank 1 - so with rank 5 you are back to 100% (this does not count on healing taken^^)

Warlocks the biggest whiners? No they're not, on the PTR forum there was a Lifetap thread with over 140 pages with good feedback.

The thing is yeah, I'm a Warlock myself and even though I will not like getting nerfed, I do see that we need one. But changing our core ability (Lifetap) to be dependant on Intellect instead of Stamina while our whole class is balanced around the Stamina stat (+stamina talents, more stamina than intellect on ALL (PvP and PvE) items), makes it a bad change.

Because with this change PvE Warlocks will get more benefit from Intellect than Stamina, but we have tier 6 items which are like 50~ stamina 30~ intellect. Should be the other way around with that change, but that would make it a really big class overhaul, you'd change the basics of a Warlock.

So basically, l2nerf warlocks in a different way.

i think this is only rank 1 - so with rank 5 you are back to 100% (this does not count on healing taken^^)



This talent only has two ranks and I quoted the second and last rank.

Those 2 new spells (the nurturing instinct ones) were things from Friday's PTR patch. But Nurturing Instinct itself is still 100%.

I am guessing they just removed the MS debuff in this build since it was bugged (increasing healing done) and they still plan on bringing it back once they fix it.

and the melee version lost all its 54 crit rating and gained 108 ap instead.

also, on these 2 mirrors, you can download the music that's been added to the game. they are absolutely fantastic. there is music for the orb flyby from magister's terrace, the bombing run of the dead scar, all the parts of IoQ, MT and SP including 3 tracks for the Sunwell!
